Often referred to as a “little oasis in the desert,” the Anthony Community
Cemetery is certainly a place of tranquility and respect. Located on the corner of
4th street and Acosta, we are neighbors with St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery to
the east, but otherwise are two separate entities. Anthony Community Cemetery is
non-denominational, thus serving people of all faiths from Anthony and surrounding
areas. A non-profit organization, the cemetery is governed by an all-volunteer
Board of Directors who are committed to maintain the cemetery with the
character that its founders intended, and to keep the services it provides as
affordable as possible. It is not, however, a perpetual care cemetery; instead, we
depend solely on income from plot sales, careful management of resources and
donations to maintain and preserve this special place for future generations.
